The Friday Letter · June 15, 2026
Quick note this week: the book is out.
It’s called Choose Well: A Field Guide for the Gen Z Traveler on a Budget. Twelve chapters and five reference appendices on planning, funding, and safely taking your first big international trip when you are between eighteen and twenty-seven. The honest version. Calm where most travel writing shouts. Useful where most of it romanticizes.
It’s on Amazon Kindle starting today. Free for Kindle Unlimited subscribers for the next ninety days. $6.99 to keep if you want it on your shelf.
I wrote it because the budget-travel guidance for people in their twenties is either too breezy or too dense, and almost never written by someone who is also a licensed travel advisor. I wanted to put the actual method down, the math, the destinations, the safety setup, the Working Holiday Visas, in one short, calm book that does not waste your time.
If you take a trip this year and any of it lands, I would love to hear about it. Just hit reply.
And if the book is useful to you, the single most useful thing you can do is leave a short, honest review on Amazon. Reviews are how books get found. A sentence helps.
Friday Letter is back next week with regular programming: where I’d go this week, what I’m watching, one piece of advice.
